Borawan Island is located at Padre Burgos, Pagbilao, Quezon. It is a camping haven for "barkadas" who want to experience an overnight stay in an island. The name Borawan was coined in combination of two popular islands in the Philippines, the Boracay and Palawan Island. Sad to say, do not expect too much that it will match the beauty of the two islands. There are plenty of jelly fish in the area and the location was not properly taken care of because it is too crowded (though we visited during summer) and garbage are piling at the side of the cottage.
However, the Grande Island's Kwebang Lampas and Dampalit Island is an opposite for it is well-maintained and the area are suitable for swimming for all ages.
Borawan Island is a camping haven but bonfire is not allowed during night time as seen on the signage. |
